چکیده
Honeysuckle (Lonicera caerulea), also known as "haskap" in Japan, is a shrub that produces edible berries and inhabits mountainous wetland areas with harsh environments. In this study, we surveyed the relationship between honeysuckle root endophytic fungi. Root samples were collected from wet land region Hokkaido, subjected to microscopic observation fungal strain isolation. Totally 47 strains isolated roots. Inoculation tests showed of Geomyces sp. promotes growth seedlings colonizes epidermal cortical cells It suggested acts mycorrhiza-like fungus for arbuscular mycorrhizal plant. We speculate establishes symbiotic fungi overcome acidic nutrient-deficient This first report demonstrating ascomycetes promote host plants belonging Caprifoliaceae family.

Iridoids, Phenolic Compounds and Antioxidant Activity of Edible Honeysuckle Berries (Lonicera caerulea var. kamtschatica Sevast.).
Iridoid and polyphenol profiles of 30 different honeysuckle berry cultivars and genotypes were studied. Compounds were identified by ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (UPLC-ESI-qTOF-MS/MS) in positive and negative ion modes and quantified by HPLC-PDA. The 50 identified compounds included 15 iridoids, 6 anthocyanins, 9 flavonols, 2 fla...

Iridoid profiles of honeysuckle berry were studied. Compounds were identified by ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization mass spectrometry UPLC-ESI-qTOF-MS/MS in positive and negative ions mode. The MS fragmentation pathways of detected iridoid glycosides were also studied in both modes. In the negative ESI mass spectra, iridoids with a methyl ester or lacto...
متن کاملA New Fungal Endophyte, Scolecobasidium humicola, Promotes Tomato Growth under Organic Nitrogen Conditions
A new fungal endophyte, Scolecobasidium humicola, was identified as a common dark septate endophytic fungal (DSE) species under both natural and agricultural conditions. This fungus was found to grow endophylically in the roots of tomato seedlings. Light microscopy of cross-sections of colonized tomato roots showed that the intercellular, pigmented hyphae of the fungus were mostly limited to th...
متن کاملNatural Enemies of Japanese Honeysuckle, Lonicera Japonica, in New Zealand
Japanese honeysuckle is rapidly increasing as a weed throughout most of the North Island and northern South Island of New Zealand. A classical biological control programme was initiated in 2004–2005 with a survey of the natural invertebrate fauna and pathogens associated with the weed in New Zealand. The honeysuckle was being attacked by a diverse range of native and introduced invertebrates. B...
متن کاملEffects of the Epichloë fungal endophyte symbiosis with Schedonorus pratensis on host grass invasiveness
Initial studies of grass-endophyte mutualisms using Schedonorus arundinaceus cultivar Kentucky-31 infected with the vertically transmitted endophyte Epichloë coenophiala found strong, positive endophyte effects on host-grass invasion success. However, more recent work using different cultivars of S. arundinaceus has cast doubt on the ubiquity of this effect, at least as it pertains to S. arundi...
